This painting is the first in a
series of continued explorations in the realm of spirituality and faith. In
this painting, titled ‘Topkapi Doorway’, I view myself nostalgically through
a door, a relic from the Ottoman Empire. The landscape seen through it is
made of muscles, while the hair tries to grasp itself around the doorway in
order to blossom. |
