In this painting, called
‘Skeletons and Flowers, I make an arabesque pattern out of two seemingly
different objects, dead flowers and skeletons. But when viewed together in
this way, they are one and the same- an essential part of each other, a
reflection on the Ultimate Unity of all creation- a fact that perhaps becomes
more obvious in death than in life. |
