This painting is the first in a
series of illustrations based on Jalaluddin Rumi’s poem titled ‘The Lion and
the Beasts’, a discourse between pre-destiny and free will. I took the main
gist of the story and illustrated it. The first illustration shows the lion
attacking the animals in a peaceful green valley, disrupting their tranquility. |
