In this painting, I have a
fascination for objects that would be considered commonplace by veteran
Bostonians. The radiator is the centerpiece of the composition, alongside a
green halogen lamp that I later came to know was an inherent part of every
student dorm. A prayer rug lies in the foreground, among autumn leaves. The
lizards are a fond reminder of the ones you would see crawling on the walls
during summer in Pakistan, while the squirrels represent the local fauna in
Boston.
